Sigma Nu Educational Foundation Scholarship

Sigma Nu Fraternity at BGSU prides itself on being the only fraternity on campus that allows its members a chance to reduce the cost of dues without forcing the chapter's overall budget to take a financial hit. Our dedicated alumni have established a foundation that provides funds to members achieving certain academic standards. Descriptions of the foundation as well as the funds available per semester grade point average are as follows:
The Sigma Nu Educational Foundation, Epsilon Chi Endowment, is a non-profit, tax exempt foundation which is overseen by the national fraternity in Lexington, Virginia, but contributed to and whose disbursements are controlled by the alumni of this chapter. The administrators of the Fund have approved the following scholarship plan for the direct benefit of Epsilon Chi Chapter members.

A scholarship award is presented near the mid-point of a semester for academic achievement during the prior semester. Although we alumni cannot control the exact use of these awards, it is our expectation that funds equal to the award will be deposited by the recipient with the Chapter Treasurer to be applied to his financial obligations to the Epsilon Chi Chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity, Inc. Scholarship awards are given to members who are in good standing with the fraternity as certified by the chapter Eminent Commander and approved by the alumni board of the Epsilon Chi Endowment. A member must have met all financial obligations to the fraternity for all prior semesters before he will be considered for an award. |
